
Srinagar, Feb 22: Bring laurels to the Valley, a teacher from J&K School Education Department (SED) was Sunday felicitated at New Delhi for her work on connected systems in schools across J&K. Anjali Om Raina, who is currently posted at SCERT Kashmir was felicitated during a function organised at IIC Delhi.
The function was organised by International Foundation FOR Literary works in collaboration with Ministry of Education, New Delhi.
Anjali Raina was felicitated by Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta at the occasion.
Dr Vijay Kumar Saraswat Member, NITI Aayog, Dr Ranjit Kumar Sinha Secretary Higher Education Department Uttarakhand, Ravinder Indraj Singh Cabinet Minister Delhi and Dr. Balram Pandey Dean of Colleges University of Delhi were also present at the occasion.
Talking to Greater Kashmir, Anjali attributed the honour to the Joint Director SCERT Kashmir for his support and encouragement.
“His encouragement to go beyond class rooms always motivated me to do better. I am the only female from JK selected for the award,” she said.
Anjali Om Raina is a seasoned educationist with over 16 years of service in the School Education Department. She continues to make her mark at both state and national levels. She has represented her department in multiple capacities as a National Resource Person and has undergone extensive training programmes across significantly to curriculum development and teacher training initiatives. Raina was earlier nominated by the School Education Department to attend an intensive training programme on communication skills at RIE Chandigarh. This opportunity reflects her growing role in bridging classroom practice with national-level educational reforms.
