GM Shaheen expresses concern over growing unemployment

Srinagar, Feb 21: The President of Janta Dal United (JDU), Jammu & Kashmir, GM Shaheen accused the NC government of having “abandoned the youth, ignored daily wage earners, crushed small businesses, and failed to provide even basic necessities such as stable electricity and employment opportunities.”

“This government has mastered the art of making promises but failed miserably in delivering results. The people of Jammu & Kashmir are tired of hollow announcements and empty slogans,” Shaheen said in a statement.

He strongly condemned the ongoing unemployment crisis, stating that thousands of educated youth are roaming jobless while recruitment processes remain delayed and non-transparent. “Our youth deserve jobs, not excuses,” he asserted. Shaheen also slammed the administration for repeated power failures, calling it administrative collapse. “When the government cannot even ensure electricity to its citizens, it has no moral authority to claim development,” he said.
