SRINAGAR: In a significant administrative reshuffle, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha ordered the transfer and posting of 22 IAS and JKAS officers across Jammu and Kashmir with immediate effect.

As per Government Order No. 230-JK(GAD) of 2026 issued by the General Administration Department, senior officers have been assigned new responsibilities across key departments and district administrations.

Among the major postings, Ashwani Kumar has been appointed Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Power Development Department, with additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Mining Department, while Ashish Chandra Verma will continue as Financial Commissioner, Tourism Department, and additionally hold the charge of Administrative Secretary, Agriculture Production Department.

Other notable transfers include Shailendra Kumar as Financial Commissioner (ACS), Finance Department; R Alice Vaz as Commissioner/Secretary, Planning, Development and Monitoring Department, with additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Information Department; and Yasha Mudgal as Commissioner/Secretary, Cooperatives Department.

Several officers were assigned to district administration roles, including Athar Aamir Ul Shafi Khan to Budgam, Kumar Abhishek to Reasi, Bilal Mohiud Din Bhat to Anantnag, Minga Sherpa to Udhampur, Syeed Fakhrudin Hamid to Baramulla, Shahzad Alam to Kulgam, and Shri Krishan Lal to Doda.

Other appointments include senior positions in Health, Education, IT, Jal Jeevan Mission, Skill Development, Food and Civil Supplies, and Youth Services departments, reflecting a comprehensive reshuffle aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency across the Union Territory.
