Bharat Electronics Limited has issued an official advertisement inviting applications for Project Engineer posts on a temporary basis. The recruitment is for Homeland Security and Smart City Business SBU projects located across Kerala.

Category-wise distribution includes UR, OBC, EWS, SC and ST posts. Vacancies may increase or decrease based on project requirements.

Eligibility Criteria of BEL Project Engineer Vacancies

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess BE, B.Tech or B.Sc Engineering (4-year course) from a recognized university or institute.

Eligible disciplines include Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Telecommunication, Electrical, Electrical and Electronics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology and Information Science.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is 32 years as on 01 February 2026.

Age relaxation is applicable as follows:
OBC (NCL) – 3 years
SC/ST – 5 years
PwBD – 10 years

Experience Requirement

Candidates must have a minimum of two years of relevant post-qualification industrial experience.

Experience in IP Networking, IT Infrastructure Projects, Data Centre Projects, CCTV, IoT systems, installation, configuration, maintenance or product support is preferred.

Teaching, academic or research experience will not be considered.

Salary Details

Project Engineer-I will receive a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 40,000 per month for the first year.

An increment of Rs. 5,000 will be provided for every year of contract extension.

Additional benefits include annual allowance of Rs. 12,000, area allowance at 10 percent of remuneration, and a retention bonus of Rs. 1,00,000 after completion of four years.

Selection Process

Selection will be conducted through pre-registered walk-in selection.

The process includes a written test for 85 marks followed by an interview for 15 marks.

Candidates qualifying the written test will be called for interview in the ratio of 1:5.

The fee must be paid through SBI Collect online mode. Fees once paid will not be refunded.
