Waiting List for the post of Patwari is OUT

Waiting List for the post of Patwari, Revenue Department, District
Cadre, advertised vide Advertisement Notification No. 02 of 2021 Dated:
26.03.2021, under Item No. 455 (District Cadre Pulwama), Item No. 458
(District Cadre Anantnag), Item No. 475 (District Cadre Baramulla).

Whereas, The Revenue Department, vide Indent No. Rev/Ng/39/2020/Sgr Dated:
17.10.2020, forwarded the requisition for making direct recruitment to the 142 posts of
Patwari, (District Cadre) Level-4 (25500-81100) as per the following break up

Whereas, the requisite qualification for selection against these posts, as per the
Indent, is as under:
“Graduation with knowledge of Urdu”
Whereas, the select list for the aforementioned posts was forwarded to the
Revenue Department vide communication No. JKSSB-Scry/1/2025-03 (E-7627406) Dated:
13.03.2025; and

Whereas, the wait list in the instant selection was not forwarded along with the
select list, as per Regulation 68 of the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (Business
and Procedure) Regulations, 2022, which provided that in respect of the Combined Selections
the Board has to maintain a category-wise Combined Waiting List with it and forward the
same to the Indenting Department as and when requested by it; and

Whereas, the Revenue Department vide communication No.
Rev/NG/13/2023 (7152177) dated 18.12.2025 after consolidating the figures as
communicated by Office of the Financial Commissioner (Revenue), J&K, had requisitioned a
wait list of 07 posts, due to the vacancies, accrued either due to non-submission of joining
reports after issuance of the appointment orders or non-submission of PVRs within a period
of 21 days or due to no contact or response to the notice issued by the Office of the Financial
Commissioner (Revenue), J&K. The requisition under Waiting List is tabulated below:

Whereas, the Selection Committee was constituted vide office order No. Order 427-
SSB of 2024 dated 24.12.2024, for the aforementioned purpose. The Committee, having
regard to the candidature, merit/preference of the candidates, prepared waiting list in respect
of 07 eligible candidates in the respective category/cadre (shown in Annexure to this
notification), which was subsequently placed and approved by the Board in its 335th Board
Meeting dated 21.01.2026.

Now, therefore:

Consequent upon the receipt of the requisition from the Indenting Department,
the wait list for the post of Patwari, under Item No. 455 (District Cadre,
Pulwama), Item No. 458 (District Cadre, Anantnag), Item No. 475 (District
Cadre, Baramulla) of Revenue Department advertised vide Advertisement
Notification No.02 of 2021 dated 26.03.2021 is hereby notified as Annexure

– “A” to this Notification. It is further notified that:

(i) The Wait List shall be subject to the outcome of writ petition(s), if any, pending
in any Court of Law of the competent jurisdiction.
