Dr Yasmeen Jabeen conferred Prof L K Bhutani Award for Excellence in Teaching and Research

Srinagar, Jan 31: Dr Yasmeen Jabeen, Head of the Department of Dermatology, Venerology, and Leprosy, Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar, has been conferred the prestigious Prof L K Bhutani Award for Excellence in Teaching and Research by the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists, and Leprologists (IADVL).

The award was presented at DERMACON 2026, being held in Bengaluru from January 29 to February 1, 2026, in recognition of her exceptional contributions to dermatology, unwavering commitment to academic excellence, and sustained dedication to teaching and research.

This national-level honour stands as a testament to her visionary leadership, scholarly impact, and mentorship, which have inspired generations of students and significantly advanced the field of dermatology.

This award is another in the long list of awards and honours received by Dr Jabeen for her exceptional work in the field of dermatology, including the Fellowship of the Indian Academy of Dermatology (FIAD) and American Academy of Dermatology (iFAAD), Dr B M Ambady Oration (2022), Prof G Sentamil Selvi Award (2021), IADVL Presidential Award (2019) and the IFEP award by American College of Physicians (2014-15).
