Republic Day celebrations held with zeal at court complex Kangan

Srinagar, Jan 26: 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm at court complex Kangan.

The programme was organised to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India and to reaffirm unwavering respect for the democratic ideals, constitutional values and rule of law enshrined therein.

On the occasion, Moonis Wahid, Munsiff/Judicial Magistrate Kangan who is also the Chairman of Tehsil legal service authority unfurled the national flag in the presence of officers, officials and other participants. The flag unfurling ceremony was conducted in a solemn and respectful manner, reflecting deep reverence for the nation and its Constitution, said a press release.

The celebration was attended by members of Bar Association Kangan, Public Prosecutor, SDPO/DySPKangan, and SHO Kangan along with large contingent of police officers.The CRPF jawans presented the ceremonial salami which added grace, discipline and grandeur to the national celebration and symbolised unity, national pride and respect for the Tricolour, it added.
