KPDCL Issues Safety Advisory Amid Gusty Winds Across Kashmir – Alfaaz – The Words

Srinagar: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has issued a public safety advisory amid reports of gusty winds across parts of north, central, and south Kashmir.

In an advisory, the Corporation urged residents to stay away from loose or hanging electric wires and avoid touching electric poles, transformers, or any fallen power lines. Consumers have also been advised to keep electrical appliances unplugged during power fluctuations to prevent damage and reduce risk.

KPDCL said its field teams have been placed on alert to respond to any exigency. The utility added that restoration of power supply will be taken up on priority once weather conditions improve.

The corporation appealed to the public for patience and cooperation and urged people to follow safety precautions to avoid accidents during the prevailing weather conditions.
