Helplines Activated in Srinagar as Authorities Brace for Inclement Weather | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: In view of the forecast of inclement weather, the Srinagar administration on Thursday activated dedicated emergency helplines to ensure timely assistance to the public.

Officials said the District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC), Srinagar, can be contacted at 0194-2457543, 0194-2483651, and 0194-2457552 for any weather-related emergencies.

In addition, WhatsApp helplines 9103998355, 9103998356, and 9103998357 have been activated to facilitate quick communication and response.

The Police Control Room in Srinagar has also been placed on alert and can be reached at 0194-2477567.

Authorities have urged residents to exercise caution, avoid unnecessary travel during adverse weather conditions, and use the designated helplines in case of emergencies.

At present, several areas across the Kashmir Valley are experiencing severe windstorms, with reports of damage to rooftops. The Srinagar Meteorological Office has forecast rainfall and snowfall beginning today.
