
Srinagar, Jan 22: National Conference General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar has urged the administration to ensure all necessary basic arrangements on the eve of Friday following the auspicious occasion of Meraj Ul Aalam. In a statement, Sagar highlighted the religious significance of the day and said that large gatherings of devotees are expected at mosques and shrines across the region, particularly Hazratbal shrine. He emphasised the need for uninterrupted electricity and water supply, proper sanitation, efficient traffic regulation, and adequate public transport facilities to ensure convenience for the devotees, said a press release.
Sagar also stressed the importance of effective amenities and crowd management measures, particularly around major religious places, so that worshippers can offer prayers in a peaceful and dignified atmosphere.
He called upon the concerned departments to work in coordination with Shrine management and ensure that no inconvenience is caused to the devotees on this important religious occasion.
