Police attach property of NDPS accused in north Kashmir’s Karnah

Kupwara, Jan 20: In a major crackdown on narcotics and unlawful activities, Kupwara Police have attached a residential house worth approximately Rs 8.49 lakh belonging to Khalid Ahmad Paswal, son of Qasir Din Paswal, a resident of Shamispora, Karnah.

The action was taken by Police Station Karnah in connection with FIR No. 53/2023 registered under Sections 8/21/29 of the NDPS Act, Sections 7/25 of the Indian Arms Act, and Sections 13, 18, 23, and 39 of the UAP Act, said a police official.

The attachment has been carried out strictly as per due legal procedure. District Police Kupwara reiterated their commitment to taking stringent action against individuals involved in drug trafficking and other unlawful activities.
