
SRINAGAR: The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has extended winter holidays for all government and private schools in the Summer Zone of Jammu until January 17, 2026, citing prevailing adverse weather conditions.
According to an official order, the extension applies to both students and teaching staff, while board examinations for Classes 10 to 12 will proceed as scheduled, adhering strictly to the previously notified dates.
Schools have been directed to consider online classes for students from Class 6 onwards during the extended break.
The order also emphasises that preparations for Republic Day 2026 will continue according to schedules notified by the competent authorities.
