Army Public School Rakhmuthi under HQ Northern Command has released an addendum and corrigendum regarding teacher recruitment for the academic session 2026-27. Applications are now invited for term based PGT, TGT and PRT teachers through the Local Selection Board (LSB) for Army Public Schools Rakhmuthi, Akhnoor and Nagrota. The LSB interview will be held at APS Rakhmuthi.

The earlier notification published on 07 December 2025 in Daily Excelsior and Times of India for CSB based regular appointments of PGTs and TGTs now stands cancelled.

Eligibility Criteria of APS Teacher Vacancies

Passing the OST is not mandatory for appearing in interview. However, selected candidates must pass OST within two years with minimum 50% marks, otherwise the post will be cancelled.

Army widows and wives of Army personnel boarded out with 100% disability may be considered without CSB and B.Ed as per AWES guidelines.

Selection Process

The selection will be through Local Selection Board which includes:

Evaluation of teaching skills
Computer proficiency assessment

No TA or DA is payable for attending the interview.

Application Fee

Application fee is Rs 250 to be paid through Demand Draft in favour of Army Public School Rakhmuthi payable at Akhnoor.

How to Apply

Application forms can be collected from APS Rakhmuthi between 0900 hrs and 1400 hrs on working days or downloaded from the school website.

The duly filled application form along with Self attested educational certificates, Experience certificates and Demand Draft must be submitted to the concerned school (APS Rakhmuthi / APS Akhnoor / APS Nagrota) on or before 17 January 2026 by 1000 hrs. Applications through email will not be accepted. Shortlisted candidates will be informed by phone or email. Candidates who already applied under the previous advertisement dated 07 December 2025 need not apply again for the same post and school.
