Absconder Evading Arrest Since 2020 Held by Police in Kashmir | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: Ganderbal Police arrested an alleged absconder who, according to officials, had been evading appearance in a 2020 case registered at Police Station, Gund. The individual has been identified as Muhammad Munshi Gojer, son of Wali Muhammad Gojer, an inhabitant of Khanpora Nagrota. He was wanted in an FIR under Sections 279 and 427 of the IPC.

Officials said the arrest followed specific information received by the Police Station, Gund. A police team traced the accused after what they described as sustained efforts. Once detained, the individual was taken through the required legal formalities and later produced before the Court of the Judicial Magistrate First Class Kangan.

The court subsequently ordered his lodgment at Central Jail Srinagar. [KNT]
