Contraband Seized in GMC Baramulla Premises; Two Held | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: Baramulla Police on Monday apprehended two individuals from the premises of Government Medical College (GMC) here in North Kashmir and recovered heroin like substance from their possession.

Officials informed that a police team headed by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), along with Station House Officer (SHO) Baramulla, conducted a swift raid at the GMC parking zone following a specific input.

During the search of a vehicle, police recovered 964 grams of heroin. The vehicle and the contraband were seized and both individuals, residents of Trakanjan Boniyar, were arrested on the spot.

Meanwhile, a case under FIR No. 214/2025 has been registered at Police Station Baramulla under relevant provisions of the NDPS Act, while further investigation is underway. (KNO)
