Srinagar: Ghulam Nabi War, Chairman of Tehreek-e-Istiqamat, has expressed deep grief and outrage over the tragic explosion in Delhi that claimed more than ten lives and left many injured.

In a statement issued here, War termed the blast a “heinous and cowardly act,” describing it as “not only an attack on the people of Delhi but also a strike against the very spirit of peace and humanity.” He said such acts of brutality go against the compassion and unity that bind societies together.

Extending condolences, War added, “I stand with all those who have lost their loved ones in this tragedy. My prayers are with the injured for their speedy recovery. May Almighty Allah grant the victims’ families patience, courage, and peace during this difficult time.”

Urging for collective resolve against violence, he emphasized the need for unity and compassion, saying, “We must come together to condemn this senseless act of terror and reaffirm our commitment to resist hatred and extremism.”

Earlier this year, War and his organization formally renounced any association with separatist politics. The Tehreek-e-Istiqamat chief had publicly distanced himself and his party from both factions of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, asserting allegiance to the Constitution of India and affirming that neither he nor his organization would align with any group working against the idea of a peaceful and united nation.
