
SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Police in Baramulla executed a series of meticulously coordinated preventive operations across the district, a spokesman said.
The concerted initiative was aimed at fortifying internal security architecture, neutralising subversive and law-defying elements, and reinforcing the overall climate of public order and civic assurance.
During these operations, the following actions were undertaken: six individuals linked with subversive networks were brought to police stations and bound down under law; 22 properties associated with terrorist associates were searched; 20 terrorist associates were bound down and two were sent to jail under preventive detention; two individuals booked under the UAPA (presently on bail) were examined, one bound down under preventive law, eight bailed UAPA accused were identified for bail cancellation, and two cases have been submitted before the competent court; 16 CASOs were conducted at different locations; 292 vehicles were thoroughly checked at various checkpoints across the district; five E&IMCO-linked individuals and two JeI affiliates were searched to ensure compliance with law; two absconding UAPA accused were traced and legal action initiated, police said.
These coordinated operations were meticulously executed to pre-empt potential security contingencies, neutralise disruptive elements, and preserve public order across the district. (KNO)
