Power Shutdown Announced Across Jammu Kashmir

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) and Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) have announced multiple scheduled power shutdowns across various districts of Jammu and Kashmir between November 14 and November 23 to carry out essential maintenance and upgradation works.

According to the Chief Engineer (Distribution), KPDCL, power supply will remain affected in several parts of Srinagar and Budgam on November 15 due to shutdowns on the 33 KV Pampore–BK Pora line and Budgam–SIDCO Tap line from 10.00 AM to 3.30 PM, the 33 KV Alasteng–Nagbal (Gadoora) line from 12.00 Noon to 2.30 PM, and the 33 KV Nehalpora–Markundal line from 9.00 AM to 3.30 PM.

During this period, receiving stations at BK Pora, Khanda, Summerbugh, Budgam, Gadoora, Tulbagh, Saloora, Markundal, Naidkhai, and Shahgund will remain off, affecting power supply to areas including BK Pora, Khanda, Chackpora, Chatergam, Kenihama, Wagoora, Wadipora, Aribagh, Budgam, Ompora, Sheikhpora, Housing Colony, Fatehpora, Tulbagh, Chunduna, Shairpathri, Kachan, Saloora, Naidkhai, Markundal, Sumbal, Ankhul, Gundboon and nearby locations.

Similarly, on November 23, the shutdown of the 33 KV Exhibition line will impact GIS Batamaloo and Tengpora Court Complex receiving stations from 10.00 AM to 2.00 PM, affecting electricity in Batamaloo, Moominabad Court Complex, Hamdaniya Colony, and Nund Reshi Colony.

Meanwhile, in the Jammu division, the Chief Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL Jammu, informed that power supply to SMVDU will remain affected on November 15 and 16 from 10.00 AM to 4.00 PM.

Additionally, power supply to Pouni, Shiv Khouri, Dadua, Laiter, Bharakh, Ransoo, Talwara and adjoining areas will be disrupted on November 15 from 9.00 AM to 3.00 PM, while Reasi Town, Mahadev, Bidda, Katra Back and adjoining areas will face outage on November 16 from 9.00 AM to 3.00 PM.

In Kathua, the Superintending Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL O&M Circle, stated that electricity to Rajpura, Lala Chack, Mawa, Sanura, Agriculture, BSF-I, BSF-II and adjoining areas will remain affected on November 15 from 8.00 AM to 2.00 PM.

Similarly, Dyalachack, Hiranagar Morh, Satura, Gurah, Mundian and nearby areas will experience a shutdown on November 14 from 8.00 AM to 2.00 PM, while Samba 1st, Samba 2nd and adjoining areas will have a power cut on November 16 from 8.00 AM to 12.00 Noon.

Power supply to Sanura and adjoining areas will remain affected on November 15, 17, and 18 from 8.00 AM to 12.00 Noon, while Meen and adjoining areas will have a shutdown on November 14 from 8.00 AM to 1.00 PM, and Meen and K3 areas on November 16 from 8.00 AM to 1.00 PM.
