Driver Denies Hit-and-Run Allegation in Srinagar Road Mishap 

SRINAGAR: A woman sustained injuries after being hit by a vehicle in the Rambagh area of Srinagar.

The injured, identified as 57-year-old Mahtaba, wife of Ghulam Nabi and a local of Rambagh, was crossing the road when she was struck by a vehicle. She was immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for treatment.

While initial reports suggested it was a hit-and-run incident, the driver involved has refuted the claim, stating that he himself shifted the injured woman to the hospital and that it was not a case of hit and run.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the accident. [KNT]
