JPDCL Announces Scheduled Power Shutdown

SRINAGAR: The Jammu Power Development Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has announced scheduled power outages affecting multiple areas across Jammu Kashmir from November 7 to 9, officials said on Wednesday.

Chief Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL, Jammu, informed that power supply to Sangaldan, Gool, and adjoining areas will be affected on November 7 from 12 noon to 4 pm. Supply to Roopnagar, part of Janipur, Lower Roopnagar, part of Paloura, and surrounding localities will be disrupted on the same day from 8 am to 12 noon. Bantalab, CRPF Camp, Nardani, Bhalwal, Thathar, and nearby areas will face outages on November 8 from 8 am to 1 pm.

On November 9, Nichla, Kootah, Ghagwal, Jatwal, Ranwal, Rajpura, Sanoora, Lale Chack, BSF, Sherpur, Katal, and adjoining areas will experience interruptions from 12 noon to 3 pm, while Gujjar Nagar, Peer Mitha, Peer Kho, Circular Road, Mast Garh, Dalpatian Mohalla, Julaka Mohalla, and nearby localities will be affected from 7 am to 1 pm.

Power supply to Mahanpur, Billawar, Bani, Basohli, Machedi, and adjoining areas is scheduled for disruption on November 7 from 9 am to 12 noon.

Meanwhile, Superintending Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL, OM Circle, Kathua, stated that Changran, Chack Desa Singh, Manke Talab, Shiva Nagar, Durga Nagar, Government Women Degree College, Ward No. 2, District Jail, Super Bazaar, and surrounding areas will face outages on November 8 and 9 from 8 am to 2 pm. BOPs, Rajpura, Old Mawa, BSF, Chachwal, and adjoining areas will also experience disruptions on November 7 and 9 from 8 am to 2 pm. Additionally, Kalu Chack, Birpur Complex, and nearby localities will be affected on November 8 and 9 from 10 am to 2 pm.

Officials advised residents and businesses to plan accordingly and expressed regret for the inconvenience caused during the maintenance work.
