
SRINAGAR: The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across multiple areas of Jammu, Kathua, and Batote divisions to facilitate maintenance and upgradation works on various transmission lines and feeders.
According to the Chief Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL Jammu, the power supply to Hatli, Tridwan, Hote, Sawla, Khanyara, Maroli, and adjoining areas will remain affected on October 31 from 7:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Similarly, power supply to Greater Kailash and adjoining areas will be interrupted the same day from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Additionally, electricity in Transport Nagar, Narwal, Railway Colony, Upper Chowadi, parts of Channi Himmat, Malik Market, Matto Colony, and nearby areas will remain affected on October 31 and 2 November between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
Meanwhile, the Superintending Engineer (Distribution), OM Circle Kathua, stated that power supply to Kaluchack and adjoining areas will be affected on October 31 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, while Kanhal-2, Industry-1, and nearby areas will experience a shutdown on November 2 during the same hours.
In a similar notice, the Superintending Engineer, OM Circle-III, JPDCL Batote, informed that power supply to Shiv Nagar and its adjoining areas will remain affected on November 1 and 3 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Officials said these planned shutdowns are essential for routine maintenance and system improvement, ensuring enhanced reliability and efficiency in electricity distribution. The JPDCL has urged consumers to bear with the temporary inconvenience during the scheduled periods.
