Strengthen healthcare infrastructure, BJP asks Govt

Jammu, Oct 23: Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party Health Cell, co-convenor, Dr Varinder Sharma has asked the NC government led by the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah government to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and not demoralise the medical fraternity, serving tirelessly under challenging circumstances.

He was reacting to the recent statement made by the Health and Medical Education Minister, Sakina Itoo.

Dr Sharma said that the government should focus on providing the doctors Non Practising Allowance (NPA) and simultaneously ban private practice once and for all, as demanded by the medical community itself.
