Kupwara: The Block Development Officer (BDO) Sogam/Wavoora, has urged beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) to maintain complete transparency during the implementation of ongoing process and to refrain from giving money to anyone in connection with the scheme.
The BDO Abdul Rashid in his message cautioned that any official or individual found involved in corrupt practices or demanding illegal gratification will face strict legal action. He advised beneficiaries to immediately report any such incident to the nearest administrative authority for prompt redressal.
The officer further informed that the PMAY registration portal has been reopened, and those who have not yet registered are advised to complete their registration at the earliest to avail the benefits under the housing scheme.
He reiterated that the department is committed to ensuring fair and corruption-free implementation of the PMAY scheme to achieve its objective of providing housing for all in a transparent and accountable manner.
