SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has set up 994 examination centres for the annual Class 10 examinations beginning on November 03, facilitating nearly 95,000 students across the Kashmir Division and winter zone areas of the Jammu Division.

According to a statement issued by JKBOSE, the examinations will be held from 11 AM to 2 PM. Of the total candidates, 68,804 belong to ten districts of the Kashmir Division, while 25,224 students are from eight districts in the winter zone of the Jammu Division. Additionally, 660 students from Kargil and 95 from Leh will also appear in the exams.

The Board said elaborate arrangements have been made to ensure fair, transparent, and orderly conduct of the examinations. Centre superintendents and supervisory staff have been deployed with clear instructions to safeguard the integrity of the exams.

To maintain discipline, vigilance squads have been assigned to conduct random inspections, with directions to remain courteous towards candidates while ensuring strict adherence to examination protocols.

JKBOSE has also requested district administrations to impose restrictions under Section 163 of the BNSS to prevent any external interference that could compromise the sanctity of the exams.

The Board has further advised students to dress warmly in view of the declining temperatures, particularly in far-off and hilly regions, to ward off cold-related discomfort during the examinations.
