Srinagar: The Jammu & Kashmir government on Tuesday terminated the services of five employees for their alleged involvement in activities “prejudicial to the security of the state”, officials said.
Those dismissed include Mohd Ishfaq, a teacher; Tariq Ahmad Shah, a laboratory technician; Bashir Ahmad Mir, an assistant lineman; Farooq Ahmad Bhat, a field worker with the Forest Department; and Mohd Yousuf, a driver in the Health Department.
“The action has been taken under provisions that allow dismissal without a formal inquiry in cases involving national security and integrity,” officials added.
