4 arrested with vehicles, cash in Jammu theft cases

Jammu, Jul 3: Police in Bakshi Nagar Thursday arrested four accused in theft cases and recovered two stolen two-wheelers and Rs 6000 cash from their possession.

A Police spokesperson said, “In a significant breakthrough, the police party led by in-charge Police Post GMC PSI Tanvinder Singh, under the supervision of SHO Bakshinagar and SDPO City West, has recovered two stolen scooties and cash amounting to Rs 6,000 in connection with three different FIRs.”

In this connection, acting on reliable sources and leveraging technical support, the police team apprehended four accused individuals. During the operation, Rs 6000 were recovered from accused Charan Singh, son of Krishan Lal, resident of Senabathi Ramban, at present Gujjar Nagar and Dimple Sharma, son of Sunil Dutt, resident of Pathankot, at present Last Morh near Bawe Mandir.

“Moreover, two accused i.e., Mohammad Ayas, son of Salam Abdul and Saiful Islam, son of Badi Alam, both residents of Myanmar, at present Karyani Talab, Narwal, Jammu were arrested from Narwal Jammu with stolen scooties bearing registration no JK02CJ6963 and JK02BD2043,” spokesperson said.

“The successful operation underscores the commitment of the local police to ensuring public safety and security. The police department appreciates the support of the community and assures continued efforts to maintain law and order in the region,” spokesperson added.
