
SRINAGAR: A 24-year-old boy sustained critical injuries after a mine blast occurred in the Khundru area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Sunday.
A senior police officer said that the 24-year-old boy, a resident of Larnoo, had gone to visit his maternal home at Khundru when he entered the army fencing and was caught in the blast.
He said he was immediately evacuated to GMC Anantnag, where his condition is stated to be critical, the officer said.
Cognisance of the incident has been taken and further investigation initiated. (KNC)
