20 Officers Transferred, Various Police Stations Across Kashmir Get New SHOs

SRINAGAR: The District Police Headquarters Srinagar on Saturday ordered the transfer of 20 police officers, including Inspectors and PSIs, with immediate effect across various police stations in the district.

The move was issued “in the interest of administration” and signed by the Senior Superintendent of Police, District Srinagar. The reshuffle includes appointments of Station House Officers (SHOs) to key police stations such as Shergari, Kral Khud, Shaheed Gunj, Bemina, Khanyar, Batmaloo, and others.

Inspector Mohd Ishaq has been posted as SHO Police Station Shergari, Inspector Irshad Ahmad as SHO PS Khanyar, Inspector Imtiyaz Ahmad as SHO PS Kral Khud, and Inspector Tanveer Ahmad as SHO PS Bemina. PSI Suhail Anees has been appointed as SHO PS Shaheed Gunj, Inspector Wasim Jehangir as SHO PS Batmaloo, and Inspector Sheikh Wakeel Ahmad has been shifted to PS Sadder as SHO. Inspector Sabzar Ahmad has taken over as SHO PS Parimpora, while Inspector Rabinder Singh has been posted as SHO PS Safa Kadal. Inspector Irshad Ahmad has been posted as SHO PS Pantha Chowk, and Inspector Ghulam Mohammad has been moved to DPL Srinagar. PSI Sartaj Ahmad has been posted as In-charge PP Rangreth, SI Imtiyaz Mohammad as In-charge PP Noorbagh, and Inspector Mohd Shahnawaz as SHO PS R.M. Bagh. PSI Amandeep Singh has been transferred to PS Chanpora as SHO, and Inspector Towseef Habib to PS Rajbagh as SHO. Additionally, Inspector Bilal Ahmad Khanday and Inspector Ranbeer Singh have been posted to DPL Srinagar, while Inspector Museer Asgar has been moved to DPL Srinagar from PS Batmaloo. Inspector Showkat Ahmad has been transferred to PS Shalteng as SHO.

The order also relieves four probationary DySPs of the 2023 batch, who were functioning as SHOs in PS Shergari, Khanyar, Kral Khud, and Bemina, and instructs them, including Ms Shahila Sanson (JKPS 236354), to report back to DPL Srinagar for further training as per the practical programme.

The police headquarters has directed immediate compliance, with all concerned officers relieved forthwith. Relevant units, including all SHOs, SDPOs, and zonal officers, have been notified for necessary action.
