182 Constable Posts In J&K Police (Telecommunication & Photographer)

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board has released Advertisement Notification No. 15 of 2025 for recruitment to Constable (Telecommunication) and Constable (Photographer) posts in the J&K Police, Home Department. A total of 182 posts are notified under the UT cadre.

The online application process will start from 01 February 2026 and the last date to apply is 02 March 2026. Candidates must be domiciles of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir and should meet the prescribed qualification and physical standards before applying.

Eligibility Criteria of JKSSB Constable Vacancies

Candidates must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and should possess a valid domicile certificate on or before the last date of application.

Physical Standard Test (PST)

For Male Candidates
Height: 5’-6”
Chest: 32” (unexpanded) and 33½” (expanded)

For Female Candidates
Height: 5’-2”

For candidates belonging to the Gorkha Community or Bot Tribe, the minimum height is relaxable by 2 inches.

Physical Endurance Test (PET)

For Male Candidates
Long Race: 1600 metres in 6½ minutes
Push-ups: 20 (one cycle of up and down counts as one)

For Female Candidates
Long Race: 1000 metres in 6½ minutes
Shot Put (4 kg): 14½ feet in three attempts

Relaxation in PET standards is available for Ex-servicemen as notified.

Application Fee

The application fee is Rs. 700. For candidates belonging to SC, ST-1, ST-2 and EWS categories, the fee is Rs. 600. The fee can be paid only through online mode.

Selection Process

The selection will be carried out in the following stages:

Written Examination (Objective type with negative marking)
Physical Standard Test (Qualifying)
Physical Endurance Test (Qualifying)
Medical Examination

Candidates having NCC Certificates will be awarded bonus marks as per notified percentage.
