Taking to X, the LG’s office posted, “After a thorough security review and discussion in today’s UHQ Meeting, I’ve ordered reopening of more tourist spots in Kashmir and Jammu Divisions, which were temporarily closed as precautionary measures.”

Spots to reopen include Aru Valley, Rafting Point Yanner, Akkad Park, Padshahi Park, Kaman Post in Kashmir, and Dagan Top, Ramban, Dhaggar (Kathua), Shiv Cave (Salal), and Reasi in Jammu.

The destinations had been shut as part of precautionary security measures in the aftermath of an attack in Pahalgam leaving twenty-six, mainly tourists, dead in April this year.
