11 JKAS Officers Promoted to Selection Grade, 5 Elevated to Special Scale – Alfaaz – The Words

Srinagar: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday accorded promotions to 16 officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS).

As per Government Order No. 1044–JK(GAD) of 2025, eleven officers have been promoted to the Selection Grade of JKAS (Level 12: ₹78,800–₹2,09,200). The promoted officers, as per Alfaaz – The Words, include; Parvaiz Rahim, Zakir Hussain, Mudasir Ahmad, Mohsin Raza, Deebah Khalid Peer, Aijaz Ahmad Shah, Mohd. Idrees, Bashir Ahmad Lone, Gulzar Ahmad Rather, Athar Amin Zargar, and Sanna Khan.

Among them, Zakir Hussain, Mohsin Raza, and Aijaz Ahmad Shah have been designated as Additional Secretaries in their respective departments. The rest of the officers will continue at their present place of posting until further orders.

Separately, under Government Order No. 1043–JK(GAD) of 2025, five officers have been promoted to the Special Scale of JKAS (Level 13: ₹1,23,100–₹2,15,900). The officers include; Vinod Kumar Behnal, Sajid Yehaya Naqash, Natasha Kalsotra, Krishan Lal, and Nazir Ahmad Mir.

Of these, Krishan Lal and Nazir Ahmad Mir, both currently functioning as Additional Secretaries, have been re-designated as Special Secretaries in their respective departments. The remaining officers will also continue in their current postings.

The promotion orders, as per the directives’, are subject to the outcome of any writ petitions pending before competent courts of law.
