1 killed, 3 injured in Kupwara road accident

Kupwara, Mar 23: A teenager lost his life while three others were injured after a passenger cab skidded off the road and fell into a nallah at Manigah Haihama area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday.

An official said that a vehicle bearing registration number UP-16ET-8079, driven by Mohammad Ashraf Khan skidded off the road and plunged into a stream in Manigah area of Haihama.

In the mishap, the driver and other occupants sustained injuries and were shifted to Sub-District Hospital Kupwara for treatment. One of the passengers, Zahid Ahmad Mughal (19), son of Abdul Majeed Mughal and a resident of Manigah, was declared brought dead at the hospital.
